This was a great way to start a series! It was relatively low angst and fast-paced, but there was just enough drama to keep things interesting. The world building was on point with plenty of compelling characters that kept the witty banter flowing and definitely had me laughing. The spicy chemistry between Vaughn and Natalie was scorching and guaranteed to make you blush, but don’t mistake Vaughn for a one-trick pony because he could be sweet too! Look out when he’s upset though, because he could teach a master class on the grumpy/broody trouble-maker on the ice!🔥 Natalie was just a sweetheart that I immediately felt for, and wanted her to find whatever she wanted outside of anyone else’s shadows. With 3 older brothers who all played all the sports, I knew how she felt. So I was rooting for her, even when she wasn’t thinking clearly!🥰 I love the dichotomy of a brother’s teammate trope with the twist of it also being his rival! That was fun to read! All the guys on the team, as well as her friend George, were really intriguing and will make great stories that I’ll have to add to my TBR!

This was a quick, steamy, forbidden romance - and such a great time!
